Work continues on Interstate 20 as part of the Alabama
Department of Transportation's project to widen the last four-lane segment of
the roadway in St. Clair County.
On Monday, August 13, state troopers will close the I-20
eastbound and westbound inside lanes between Exit 153 (Chula Vista) and Exit
152 (Cook Springs) from 7PM to 6AM, to move portable barrier rails. Troopers
will begin to set up rolling roadblocks between mile markers 147 and 149
beginning at 7PM
Motorists are urged to consider using alternate routes,
adjust arrival/departure times, observe work-zone speed limits and other
work-zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area.
