There have been two moderate earthquakes in California in the past 24 hours. The latest quake around 9:30 this morning was a magnitude 4.5. It was centered two miles northeast of the Orange County city of Yorba Linda. Another magnitude 4.4 quake, centered in the same area, struck late Tuesday night. No damage has been reported.
What's up with country singer Randy Travis? Already this year, one bitter divorce, and one arrest. Make that two! He was arrested in Texas late last night and charged with DUI and felony retaliation. According to officers Travis had wrecked his vehicle, smelled of alcohol, and was intoxicated. Here's the really bad part. On the way to the station he allegedly threatened to shoot and kill the officers. And he was brought in naked. Not quite sure how that happened.
The United States will bring home both the gold and silver medals in women's beach volleyball. The question is which ladies wear which colors? It's Kerri Walsh Jennings and Misty May-Treanor versus April Ross and Jennifer Kessy. Jennings and Treanor are going for an unprecedented third straight gold. The match airs tonight in primetime.
And the Americans routed Canada 91 to 48 in women's basketball to advance to the semifinals for the eighth straight time. On Thursday, the U.S. Will face Australia.
