Gov. Robert Bentley calls special election for House Dist. 30 - ABC 33/40 - Birmingham News, Weather, Sports

Gov. Robert Bentley called a special election to fill a seat in the House of Representatives that serves parts of Etowah and St. Clair counties.

Blain Galliher of Gadsden gave up his seat to become Legislative Director in Bentley's administration. 

Republican and Democratic primaries for the House District 30 seat will be held October 23rd. The general election will be either December 11th or January 29th, depending on whether there's the need for a runoff.
