Top Car & Truck Customizer Chux Trux Holds Cruise Night to Welcome Car Show Crowd

Hot rods, street rods, classic cars and custom trucks alike will cause drooling, gawking and repeated photo snapping at the Good Guys Hot Rod & Custom Car Show in Kansas City. But before that show gets fired up, Chux Trux is kicking off its arrival with their 3rd Annual, Early Bird Cruise Night. This hot rod bash takes place on Thursday, August 30th, the night before the Good Guys Car Show officially begins.

So what makes this such a big deal? The 11th Annual Mid-Western Nationals Good-Guys car show at the Kansas Speedway is thought to be the biggest and best car show in the Kansas City area. And the experts at Chux Trux have built some of the best custom cars and coolest custom trucks in the Midwest, with many featured in magazine spreads and displayed at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

Hundreds of Chux Trux customers will enter their custom trucks, motorcycles, late model muscle cars, hot rods and everything else in the Good Guys car show with hopes of bringing home a trophy.

Seth Gortenburg, President of Chux Trux, Inc. says, “It only makes sense for us to celebrate one of the biggest automotive weekends in Kansas City. We invite past customers, fans, friends and every car and truck enthusiast we can find to bring their custom car, street rod, bike or truck to our Early Bird Cruise Night at the store to hang out and have fun before everything takes on the serious air of a truck show. We just want to have a laid back cruise night where the atmosphere is casual and everyone has a good time.”

Don’t have a custom car, hot rod, muscle car or truck? Don’t worry, you’re still invited to join in the fun, gawk, take photos, get ideas and talk to these gearheads as they polish their chrome to get ready for the biggest car show in Kansas City.

“Our Early Bird Cruise Night is sort of an un-official 'Best Things to do in Kansas City' for any out of town hot rod and custom car owners coming in for the show,” says Gortenburg.

Here’s what you need to know:

  •     Muscle cars, hot rods, custom cars, street rods, collector cars, vintage trucks, lifted trucks, lowered trucks, mini trucks and any type of custom vehicles are welcome. If you just want to come to look, that’s ok too
  •     The Chux Trux Early Bird Cruise Night is on Thursday, August 30th from 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at their Chux Trux store in Independence, Mo.
  •     Giveaways, t-shirts, hats and more
  •     50/50 drawing
  •     Manufacturer's representatives will be offering pre-show specials and answering questions
  •     A pin-striper will be on hand and can hand paint pin stripes on almost anything with a smooth surface. Cell phones, cars, dash boards, you name it!
