Alabama's seventh annual back-to-school tax holiday weekend is underway, and shoppers are taking advantage of the savings.
Through Sunday, the state's sales tax of 4 percent will be waived on clothing and shoes valued at $100 or less, textbooks and school supplies valued at $50 or less, computers and computer equipment valued at $750 or less, and other books valued at $30 or less.
The holiday weekend runs through midnight Sunday.
