Have you seen the Chihuahua everyone is talking about? The pup found two girls, ages five and eight, lost in a forest near their home in Georgia. A neighbor, Carvin Young, grabbed his Chihuahua, Belle, and joined in a search to find the children. He said Belle picked up the girls' scent and began running until she reached them. The girls play with Belle every day.
Let's turn the tables and do a story about men helping an animal. Three men in Alaska saved a bear cub that was drowning in a whirlpool. At first they tried to bump the bear out, but the water caught their boat and they turned in circles. The cub became more frantic. Finally, the current brought the boat up against the bear and one of the men was able to nudge the cub to slower-moving water. It swam to shore.
