Forbes Magazine has just released the latest edition of its annual listing of the top 650 colleges; Alabama has 10 schools on the list.
According to Forbes, Birmingham-Southern College is the top college in the state; good enough to be 211th in the nation. Samford University, Auburn University, the University of Alabama and the University of Alabama-Huntsville round out the top 5.
Forbes ranked 650 of about 4,000 colleges in the United States. The rankings are based on quality of teaching, great career prospects, high graduation rates and low-levels of debt.
