
Lines at Chick-fil-A restaurants were long even late into Wednesday evening.
Customers beat all expectations for the unofficial Chick-fil-A appreciation day. The day was set up by former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, not by the restaurant chain.
The company's Executive Vice President says it was a record-setting day, but that was as far as he would go. No exact sales numbers will be released.
On Friday, gay rights activists have called for "national same-sex kiss day" at Chick-fil-A.
