MONTGOMERY - AL -
Former Alabama Governor Don Siegelman will remain free for at least for a few more days. Siegelman will go before a federal judge in Montgomery for resentencing Friday.
Siegelman was convicted of bribery in 2006. He accepted half a million dollars from HealthSouth founder Richard Scrushy in exchange for a seat on a health board.
The U.S. Supreme Court refused last month to hear Siegelman's appeal. Siegelman served only 9 months of his original 7 year sentence before being released pending appeal.
