Birmingham Zoo offering $5 Fun Days two weekends in August

The Birmingham Zoo invites the whole community to visit the Zoo during Five Dollar Fun Days. All guests can take advantage of $5.00 admission Friday, August 3rd through Sunday, August 5th and Friday, August 10ththrough Sunday, August 12th.

Visitors have the opportunity to join a parade, get their faces painted, and take part in an African Drum Circle in the Children's Zoo. Hungry guests will be treated with $1.00 hotdogs at the Safari Café and Kudzoo Café during the event. A full schedule of events is listed below.

Friday, August 3rd

10am – Crafts and Animal Mask Parade

11am – Boma Encounter

12pm – Watermelon Toss for Elephants

1pm to 3pm – Face Painting

 

Saturday, August 4th

9:30am – Puzzles for Orangutans

10am – Animal Ice Carving and Sugar Blowing

11am – Boma Encounter

11am to 1pm - Get Rhythm!® Drum Circle

12pm – Watermelon Toss for Elephants

1pm to 3pm – Face Painting

2:30pm – Puzzles for Gorillas

 

Sunday, August 5th

10am – Preying with Tigers

11am – Predator Piñatas with African Wild Dogs

11am – Boma Encounter

12pm – Watermelon Toss for Elephants

2:30pm – Puzzles for Sea Lions

3:30pm – Popsicles and Playtime with African Lions
