Two teens are facing robbery charges in Jefferson County for a hold up using a BB gun.

Investigators say the teens ages 14 and 16 robbed a man at gunpoint Thursday in Center Point. It happened in the 100 block of 27th Court NW.  The victim was painting the front of his house when the teens approached him asking for a drink. He told them he had nothing to drink and one of them pulled out a handgun.  The victim picked up a reciprocating saw and pointed it at the suspects. The pair then fled on foot.

Deputies located the teens walking on 25th Avenue NW.  The 14 year old was charged as a juvenile with Robbery 1st degree and taken to the Jefferson County Youth Detention Facility. The 16 year old was charged as an adult with Robbery 1st degree and transported to the Jefferson County Jail where he was held on $10,000 bond.

It is believed that the 16 year old was the one who had pointed the gun at victim. The gun was recovered and determined to be an airsoft type BB gun.
