Final suspect in Oxford area murder arrested - ABC 33/40 - Birmingham News, Weather, Sports

Raphael Lamar Simmons was taken into custody Wednesday at 6:20pm at the Brentwood Apartments in Talladega.

Simmons is the final suspect in the case of a murder/attempted murder that took place in the 300 block of Alice Street in Oxford around 8pm on July 21st.

Terry Shandell Thomas turned himself in to Oxford Police on 07/24/2012 at 4:15pm.

Cameron Lavorus White was arrested in Oxford on 07/22/2012 at 5:50pm.

 All three suspects are charged with the murder of Barry Glene Wright and the attempted murder of Lorenzo Vivis Gilmer.

The investigation continues and more information will be made available at a later date.
