
Hundreds of people have responded to the call-- to participate in an historic cancer study in Birmingham.
The American Cancer Society teamed up with the . U.A.B. Comprehensive Cancer Center and eight other hospitals for "Cancer Prevention Study Three".
So far, about 600 people have signed up. The study needs 1,000 participants.
There's still plenty of time to sign up.
The Executive Director of the UAB Cancer Care Network, Warren Smedley says, "This is what we do, this is how we contribute to the fight against cancer"
Enrollment for the study will take place inBirmingham from August 22 - 29th. You can sign up at your YMCA
You must be between the ages of 30 - 65 and have never been diagnosed with cancer.
