Here's something you can raise your glass to. Tuesday, July 24 is National Tequila Day. The liquor is made in and around the state of Jalisco in Mexico from the blue agave plant, which is related to asparagus.
There are all kinds of tequila varieties out there to choose from; and lots of ways to enjoy the drink. Whether you prefer putting it in a frozen margarita, or drinking it straight and following it with salt and lime, today is the day to celebrate. However, as always, please drink responsibly. Also, never drink and drive.
