Update: Anniston shooting suspect caught in Mississippi

The suspect has been caught in Meridian, MS.

*Update 10:40am

The suspect is NOT in custody - police are looking for a black 2006 GMC Yukon, license plate AN90438. The suspect's name is Fred Boyd, and he is a former Anniston police officer. He is also considered armed and dangerous at this time.

There was a fatal shooting in Anniston just before 7:00 a.m. Monday. Police are looking for a suspect, and we will have more information as it becomes available
