Irondale police have arrested two people at a house in Irondale that is believed to be related to a bomb threat at a CVS in Cahaba Heights Thursday morning. Irondale mayor Tommy Joe Alexander confirmed the arrests with ABC 33/40. Officers surrounded the house on Conway Lane late Thursday afternoon. Some people in the neighborhood were encouraged by police to evacuate as a precaution. No one was hurt.
The suspicious package was found at the CVS Pharmacy on Cross Haven Road in Cahaba Heights Thursday morning. Police say the package contained a threatening note. The Hoover Bomb Squad was called in to investigate. Authorities have not disclosed the contents of the package.
