The Ms. Alabama Nursing Home Pageant will be held Monday, July 23 in Hoover at the Wynfrey Hotel's Grand Ballrooms. The pageant will begin at 2:00 p.m. and Ms. Alabama Nursing Home will be crowned just after 3:00 p.m. The winner will serve as a spokesperson for nursing home residents and the Alabama Nursing Home Association.
A field of 64 contestants was narrowed to the following top 10 finalists during preliminary judging in June. Terry Jean Camp - Ms. Athens Rehabilitation & Senior Care - Athens Donna Kaye Wynn - Ms. Coosa Valley Nursing Home - Sylacauga Clara Jepson - Ms. Cullman Health Care & Rehab Center - Cullman Nona Sims - Ms. Enterprise Health & Rehab Center - Enterprise Faye Colvin - Ms. Florala Health & Rehab - Florala Betty Sue Duncan - Ms. Florence Nursing & Rehab Center - Florence Kathryn Hale Ezell - Ms. Glenwood Healthcare, Kathryn Hale Ezell - Florence Mary Mead - Ms. Hanceville Nursing & Rehab Center - Hanceville Viola Thomas - Ms. Willow Trace Nursing Center - Butler Linda Tarwater - Ms. Woodland Village Health Care - Cullman
All 64 contestants are expected to be in attendance as part of the Honor Court and will be individually recognized during the pageant. Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.
