Former Anniston city councilman David Dawson is accused of stealing from his former employer. Dawson turned himself into authorities on theft charges Wednesday morning.
In February, not long after being sued for sexual harassment, Dawson abruptly quit the city council. It turns out, starting in January, law enforcement had also been investigating theft allegations made by Anniston Pathology.
Dawson is accused of stealing $5,000 over the course of several years.
