
Doing better than prior generations is at the crux of the "American Dream." But a recent Pew Research study finds, although younger generations are out-earning their parents, they are accumulating less wealth. In fact, the study concludes that 84 percent of Americans bring in more household income but only half are wealthier than their parents.
But what's behind the trend? Focus @ 4 speaks with UAB business professor Bob Robicheaux, who says young people's value system and saving habits could leave them behind. Plus, he says America's educational system should be re-structured to better prepare students for the job market.
