The American Red Cross will have a blood drive tomorrow (Thursday) in the parking lot at Gadsden Regional Medical Center from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The need for blood donations is critical and all blood types are needed according to Tracy Morris, who is with the Etowah County chapter of the American Red Cross.
"The American Red Cross appreciates the partnership we have with Gadsden Regional Medical Center and the support they give our blood drives," Morris said.
According to information supplied by the American Red Cross, there currently is a shortfall of nearly 1,700 units of blood and platelets.
The hospital proudly supports The American Red Cross by hosting several blood drives each year, and they encourage all eligible donors to give on Thursday.
