
Nearly 130 volunteers from around the state are scheduled to participate in an Episcopal Day of Service for Tornado Recovery. It will be held in the Birmingham area Saturday, July 21, 2012.
The work day will begin at 7:30 a.m. with breakfast and prayer at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. The church is located at 316 Avenue U, in Birmingham. Volunteer crews will be dispatched at 8:00 a.m. to do a variety of work including construction, maintenance, painting, clean-up, yard work, and moving furniture. The work day will conclude at noon with lunch grilled by a team of volunteers.
Birmingham Area Episcopal Churches in partnership with the Christian Service Mission, the Community Furniture Bank, Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, and Habitat for Humanity are sponsoring the day of service.
