The Alabama Department of Public Health confirms one employee at a Subway restaurant in Tuscaloosa has a case of tuberculosis. The restaurant is in the 4400 block of Skyland Boulevard East.
Area public health officer Dr. Albert White said patrons of that Subway should not be alarmed. TB is not transmitted through food or utensils.
Those who worked with the employee are to be assessed and will be given preventive measures.
