Luther Glenn will spend the rest of his life behind bars.
Glenn pleaded guilty to Robbery 1st Degree and Assault 1st Degree for a March 2011 incident in Trussville.
Glenn attacked Trussville Police Officer Dennis Reid, when Reid went to check on a report of a suspicious person walking down the street carrying a television. Glenn also stole Reid's wallet, gun and patrol car. The patrol car was found abandoned in Birmingham.
The life sentence was part of a plea deal reached back in June.
