BPD arrests Montgomery man for May 27 homicide in Birmingham

The Birmingham Police Department, with the help of the Dauphin Island Police Department has arrested Christopher Gallant, of Montgomery, and charged him with the May 27, 2012 murder of Ralf Woodfin in the 2300 block of 9^th Ave. South.

At approximately 12:50PM on May 27, officers from the South Precinct responded to a report of a person shot. Upon arrival, officers discovered Woodfin in the street suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Woodfin was pronounced dead on the scene.

Gallant is being charged with Capital Murder and is being held at the Jefferson County Jail.
