BIRMINGHAM - AL -
The Birmingham Police department is looking for volunteers to participate in the Citizen's On Patrol program. Participants will patrol designated areas and report suspicious activity to patrol officers. Volunteers are not police officers, but partner with the police department to aid in keeping Birmingham neighborhoods safe.
The program will begin on August 14, 2012. The first day of patrol is scheduled to begin on Monday, October 15, 2012.
