Birmingham police investigate shooting death

BIRMINGHAM - AL -

Birmingham police are investigating an apparent shooting death. Officers were called to 18th Street in Ensley Tuesday night on a report of shots fired. There, they found Johnta Tate suffering from a gun shot wound. Tate was rushed to UAB hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Witnesses say Tate and another person were in an argument just before the shooting.
