Jonterio Walker
Jonterio Walker, of
Gadsden, was arrested early Sunday morning on murder and attempted murder
warrants for the shooting death of Corion Jackson and attempted murder of his
brother Jeffery Montez Jackson in the Gateway Village community.
The Gulf Coast US Marshall's
Taskforce contacted Gadsden Police Department after receiving a tip about where
Walker was hiding. Gadsden officers
surrounded a Newton Street apartment early Monday morning. After setting up a perimeter, officers
knocked on the door. Moments later, the Walker
was seen trying to escape through a back window, but when he saw he was
surrounded, he gave up without further incident.
Walker is being held on two
$100,000 cash bonds at the Etowah County Jail.
A female was also taken into
custody and is being held in the Etowah County Jail
