Jasper police are reopening a missing person cold case after a human skull was found in a crawl space beneath a house in North Jasper on Live Oak Place Sunday.

Two elderly women, Wynona Delvecchio, 83, and Mary Cobb, 104, lived in the South Lowell community. The mother and daughter were reported missing in 2003.

Police said Wanda Kiser, a former neighbor and person of interest in the case, took Cobb from a nursing home to the house and was later sentenced on a wire fraud charge in West Virginia involving Cobb's pension fund.

Jasper police plan to use cadaver dogs to search the property. They're hoping to use sonar ground equipment as well.
