ATLANTA - GA -

Opponents of Alabama's immigration law are using Arizona's legal battle as a precedent, as they ask a court to strike down parts of the law.

Groups opposed to the immigration law cited in court, a supreme court ruling blocking much of Arizona's immigration law.  They say the ruling means sections of Alabama's law are also unconstitutional.

the groups are asking the U.S. Appeals Court to block key parts of the law, even though state legislators passed an amended version.  They say the changes did not fix problems with the law.
