Researchers may have found another treatment for Alzheimer disease.
A new study suggests, Metformin, a commonly used drug to treat diabetes may also slow the progression of Alzheimers.
Experts found the drug encourages the growth of new neurons in the brain.
This could have cognitive benefit for people with Alzheimer's.
They're also looking into whether Metformin may help with people who suffer from brain injury as a result of trauma.
