Impersonating a Police Officer arrest

Birmingham Police detectives have obtained an additional warrant against a suspect in connection with an impersonating a police officer investigation. This case is not related to the initial investigation.

Police say 42 year old Bobby Honeycutt, of Birmingham, attempted to stop a victim near the campus of Birmingham Southern College. The victim refused to stop and pulled onto the campus next to the Police gate. The suspect identified himself as a Birmingham Police officer to the BSC officers. BCS officers asked the suspect for identification, but the suspect refused and left the scene.

Honeycutt was originally arrested last week and charged with three counts of Attempted Murder and two counts of Robbery 1st Degree and one count of Impersonating a Police Officer.  An additional warrant was obtained for Impersonating a Police Officer. The warrant has a $15,000.00 bond. Honeycutt is in the custody of the Jefferson County Jail.
