There will soon be a new diet pill available to help fight the battle of the bulge.

The Food and Drug Administration approved the weight loss aid -- Belviq.

It reportedly tricks the brain into making a person feel full after eating small amounts of food.

The drug is approved for use in adults with a body mass index of at least 30-- which is classified as obese.

Overweight adults who have at least one weight related condition such as high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, or high cholesterol may also use it.
