Bobby Honeycutt
The
Birmingham Police Department has arrested Bobby Honeycutt and charged him with
three counts of Attempted Murder, two counts of Robbery 1st Degree
and one count of Impersonating a Police Officer.
According
to authorities, Honeycutt forced a vehicle to exit Interstate 59/20 by ramming it. The victim was able to pull into the parking
lot of a convenience store on Eastlake Boulevard. Honeycutt approached the vehicle and pointed
a gun at the victim stating he was a Birmingham Police officer. The victim, a
passenger and two year-old child were able to exit the vehicle and make their
way into the store. Honeycutt was taken into custody by officer's from the East
Precinct Responding East Precinct without incident.
Honeycutt
is being held at the Jefferson County Jail with a total bond of $315,000.
