A new lawsuit claims Birmingham police officers beat a 17 year old after an event at Boutwell Auditorium.
Court documents show the teen was at the auditorium in April 2011 when fights broke out. The teen took cover under a truck until his mother arrived. But the suit says when he came out, several officers struck and kicked him. The officers turned the teen over to his mother- but the suit claims they were later pulled over, and the teen was arrested for disorderly conduct. His mother asked what her son did wrong. An officer said, "He ran."
