I-65 North near Mount Olive reopens

JEFFERSON COUNTY - AL -

Police have reopened I-65 North just passed the Mount Olive exit. A tanker truck caught fire underneath the overpass Tuesday afternoon.

Clint Doff, Gardendale Fire Chief, says the driver swerved the vehicle for some unknown reason causing the tanker to crash. The tanker caught fire, but it was contained to the cab. The driver is expected to be okay.
