City of Birmingham opens cooling stations

The City of Birmingham has opened cooling stations across the city to help residents cool off during these high temperatures.  The following centers will be open through Saturday from 10:00am until 6:00pm.

  • Memorial Recreation Center: 524 6th Avenue South
  • North Birmingham Recreation Center: 3501 28th Street North
  • Hawkins Recreation Center: 8920 Roebuck Blvd.
  • Ensley Recreation Center: 2800 Avenue K
