Supreme Court AZ Immigration Law Ruling

Despite most of Arizona's immigration law being struck down on Monday, leaders in that state declared victory.

Already, immigrant rights groups are promising more legal challenges.

While throwing out a number of key provisions, the high court left in place the provision that requires police to check the immigration status of suspects stopped for other violations.

Governor Jan Brewer says states have a responsibility to defend their residents and in her eyes, the case was about Arizona's support for the rule of law.

Immigration rights groups are expressing disappointment with the decision.

The national immigration law center says the "show me your papers" provision will lead to "racial profiling" and "prolonged detentions."

The group also notes that the supreme court opinion invites more challenges.

Kevin Youkilis Traded

Kevin Youkilis' career in Boston is over.

The Red Sox traded the infielder to the Chicago White Sox for utility man Brent Lillibridge and right-hander Zach Stewart.

Youkilis was a member of the 2004 and '07 championship teams, a three-time all-star and a gold glover at first base.

He received a long standing ovation from the crowd after exiting last night's game against the Atlanta Braves.
