When it is rebuilt, the new Alberta Elementary school may become a 'community school' in every since of the phrase.
The Tuscaloosa City School Board has tentatively agreed Maude-Whatley health clinic and the Tuscaloosa Public Library about opening facilities on the new campus.
It would be a public accessed Clinic and high tech computer lab for the highest grade elementary students.
Together, Maude-Whatley and the Library have applied for more than a half million dollars in grants for their respective projects.
If approved-- the clinic would be run by Maude Whatley...but the school would have oversight.
