Harold Deal was sentenced today by Etowah County Circuit
Judge Allen Millican to life imprisonment for the 2011 shooting death of Ian Taylor.
Deal, was found guilty of Murder last month by an Etowah County jury and was
sentenced as a habitual felony offender with at least seven prior felony
convictions.
Deal claims it was self-defense. Through witness testimony, prosecutors
were able to prove that Deal shot and killed Taylor while he was visiting Deal
at his home in January 2011.
