Alberta Elementary may become 'community school' once its rebuilt. It could include a public health clinic and a high-tech computer lab. Tuscaloosa's city school board agreed to team up with Maude Whatley Health Clinic and the public library for the projects. Both have applied for more than a half-million dollars in grants to build the facilities. If approved, Maude Whatley would manage the clinic. The school system would oversee it.
