Automotive makers too busy to meet - ABC 33/40 - Birmingham News, Weather, Sports

Recent reports  indicate Alabama's automakers are doing well. On Thursday, an example of just how well business is going!

The automakers are too bush making cars and engines to hold their regular quarterly meeting. It was scheduled to begin Thursday in Montgomery. Members of the Alabama Automotive Manufacturers Association said to forget it! They could not afford to be away from plants because of intense production schedules.

All of the state's major car plants and automotive suppliers are running three shifts at least six days a week. Approximately 140,000 people now work in Alabama's automotive industry.
