Just days after four teens were shot, the Childersburg Police chief says he's increasing patrols to enforce curfew. Police will be looking for loiters within the city limits past 11 pm.
"Just because we are a small city does not mean that we are immune to these crimes," said Childersburg Police Chief Shane Burnette. "I would like citizens to know that the Childersburg Police Department is trying to take these additional steps to provide a safer area for them and their children to live and grow."
The curfew applies to children and adults. But parents will be held responsible for their children.
Last Thursday, four teenagers were shot at the Sadie Lane Housing Authority while visiting a friend. Police believe they know who the shooter is but have not made any arrests.
