Former Auburn football player sentenced to 15 years

A judge has sentenced former Auburn football player Antonio Goodwin of Atlanta to 15 years in prison for first-degree robbery. Goodwin was convicted in April of participating in an armed home invasion. Three of his teammates from the 2010 national championship team also are facing trial.

Before sentencing, Goodwin apologized "for my action and my poor judgment." He says he has become a better person since the robbery. Goodwin showed little reaction to the sentence.

Goodwin's former teammates Mike McNeil, Dakota Moseley and Shaun Kitchens await trial. McNeil was the starting safety on Auburn's national championship squad.
