Update: Police release identity of victim in Central Pratt shooting

Update:  7:00PM, Birmingham Police have identified the victim of the fatal shooting that happened in the 500 block of Ave. V in the Central Pratt neighborhood.  22 year old Deandrea Thomas was pronounced dead at the scene by Birmingham Fire and Rescue.

Update:  6:10PM, Sgt. Johnnie Williams with the Birmingham Police Department has confirmed to ABC 33/40 that there is one dead after a shooting in the 500 block of Ave. V.  The victim was found on a ramp leading to the front porch of a residence on Ave. V in the Central Pratt neighborhood.  There are no suspects at this time and the name of the victim has not been released.

 

At approximately 5:00PM Tuesday, rescue crews and Birmingham Police responded to a call of a gunshot wound in the 500 block of Ave V in the Central Pratt neighborhood.  ABC 33/40 has a crew on the scene and will bring you updates as they become available.
