Supporters ask for presidential pardon for Don Siegelman - ABC 33/40 - Birmingham News, Weather, Sports

Former Alabama Gov. Don Siegelman is awaiting resentencing on his bribery and conspiracy convictions. 

The U.S. Supreme Court refused to hear his appeal.  A Montgomery federal judge can now order him back to prison.

A former Democratic Party Executive Committee member doesn't want Siegelman to do more time behind bars.  Pam Miles of Huntsville is encouraging supporters to write President Barack Obama and ask for a presidential pardon.

Siegelman served nine months of his original sentence of seven years.  Miles operates an Internet email network for Siegelman's backers.
