More than 400,000 women worldwide are believed to have received faulty breast implants made by the French company, PIP.

This may be considered good news to the women after many countries urged women to have them removed.

A new report from British health authorities says, the faulty breast implants do not pose any long-term health threats.

The PIP implants, which used industrial-grade silicone gel intended for use in mattresses -- are twice as likely to rupture as other brands.

Reportedly some women with ruptured implants have experienced symptoms such as swollen lymph glands.

But, British officials said test results show that the implants are not toxic.

Experts add that the gel does not increase the risk of breast cancer.
