Former Bishop Kelley pitcher Parker Frazier threw seven scoreless innings, giving up no runs on 3 hits while striking out a pair as the Drillers beat the Arkansas Travelers 2-1 Friday evening.
Frazier earned the decision, improving his season record to 3-7.
The Drillers opened the scoring with a pair of runs in the fifth inning, beginning with a Josh Rutledge 1-out sacrifice fly to center field.
Angelys Nina followed up later in the inning with a 2-out RBI triple which scored Josh Gonzalez from second base.
Coupled with Northwest Arkansas losing to Springfield, the Drillers now have a 4-game lead in the Texas League's North Division with just 4 games remaining in the first half of the Texas League season.
The winner of each half earns a postseason bid for September.
