But recently Woods ended up one stroke ahead. Thompson is now tied for second place at one under par. Woods is two under. Thompson was the 2008 SEC player of the Year. He was a member of the Alabama golf team. He and his wife live in Birmingham

The team manager behind Lance Armstrong's seven consecutive Tour de fFrance victories says the athlete is innocent of doping charges. Armstrong's lawyers want access to evidence gathered by the U.S. Anti-doping Agency, including the names of witnesses who say they saw him use performance-enhancing drugs as well as all test results. Armstrong insists he is innocent. He has until next Friday to respond in writing to the fresh allegations. It's the first step of what could be a months-long process.

Have you heard about the UFO sighting in Washington D.C.? There was a lot of excitement Wednesday night as the news spread online that a UFO had been spotted on the capital beltway. Maryland state police provided eight cruisers to accompany the strange craft, but it ended up being a Navy drone. It was on its final leg of a coast-to-coast journey from Edwards Air Force Base to the naval air station in Maryland.

So, what exactly went down when Chris Brown and Drake ended up in the same club early Thursday morning? It's something police in New York City are trying to figure out. Brown's reps say the singer and his girlfriend were the victims of what they call "a brutal attack." A fight reportedly broke out between Brown and rapper Drake. Brown isn't naming any names, and Drake says he didn't hurt any person or property. The investigation is ongoing.
