
This story will make parents shudder, unless you are guilty of it yourself.
The first government statistics are out on high school students texting or emailing while behind the wheel. An anonymous national survey done last year found that 58% of high school seniors admitted they did it. Forty-three percent of high school juniors said they did it, too.
The Centers for Disease Control did find that teenagers are being safer on the roads in other ways. They do wear seatbelts more often and there is less drunk driving.
