Who doesn't despise that middle seat on an airplane! The airline industry finally gets it. No, it is not eliminating the middle seat, instead it is charging more for window or aisle seats in the front half of the plane. These seats are now called "preferred seating."

A passenger who "prefers" one of these seats will pay almost 30 dollars more each way!

Passenger rights groups are complaining, but, it appears the airlines aren't listening.
